FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship throughout New Zealand only. We don’t currently ship internationally.
How much is shipping?
Bay of Plenty: $5. North Island: $9. South Island: $12. Rural addresses attract a $3 surcharge (detected automatically from your address). Orders over $150 ship free.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are packed within 1–2 working days. North Island delivery is typically 1–2 working days after dispatch. South Island is 2–4 working days.
Does someone need to be home?
Yes. Alcohol cannot legally be left unattended. A signature and age verification are required on delivery. If no one is home, the courier will leave a card to arrange redelivery.
Do you offer click and collect?
Not officially, but if you’re local to Tauranga you can select “I’ll arrange my own shipping” at checkout and we’ll sort something out. Drop us a message at hello@teranegin.com.
Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available at checkout.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, email us at hello@teranegin.com and we’ll sort it. Once it’s dispatched, we can’t cancel but you can return it under our returns policy.
Do you do gift wrapping?
We offer a gift box option that you can add to your cart. It fits a single bottle and looks great for birthdays, Christmas, or any excuse really.
About Our Gin
Is your gin gluten free?
Yes. The distillation process removes gluten proteins, making all our gins suitable for people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance.
Is your gin vegan?
Yes. We don’t use any animal-derived products in our distillation or botanicals.
Why are some gins out of stock?
We distil in small batches with no fixed production schedule. When a gin sells out, it may be weeks or months before the next batch is ready. Some expressions may not return at all. Subscribe to our mailing list to be notified when stock is back.
Which gin should I start with?
If you like a classic G&T, start with Bare. If you prefer something lighter and more floral, try Meadow. Can’t decide? The Foundations Bundle gives you Bare and Bush together at a better price.
What makes Terane different from other gins?
Every expression uses hand-foraged native New Zealand botanicals from the Kaimai Ranges. We macerate and vapour-infuse in small batches. Nothing is rushed, nothing is mass-produced, and every batch is tasted before bottling.
How should I store my gin?
Keep it upright, out of direct sunlight, at room temperature. Gin doesn’t go off, but light and heat can dull the botanicals over time. No need to refrigerate, but serving it cold is always a good idea.
Returns & Issues
What’s your returns policy?
Unopened bottles can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. You’ll need to cover return shipping. See our full Refund & Returns Policy for details.
My bottle arrived damaged. What do I do?
Take a photo and email us at hello@teranegin.com within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll replace it or refund you, no hassle.
