Batch 7 – Bush

Pulled the last of the kawakawa yesterday. The leaves from the south-facing side of the ridge are noticeably more peppery this time of year – less rain in February means the oils concentrate differently.

Batch 7 went through Amelia this morning. Cut earlier than usual on the tails – I wanted to keep more of the rimu brightness and less of the heavier resin that crept into Batch 6.

71 bottles. On the site in a few days once it’s rested.
